If you are going through multiple files typing in students’ names as you create things for your classroom, here’s a tip – use the “Find and Replace” usually found under edit (works in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc). I use Google Slides – I have 6 items I usually print out (not pictured – communications folder and a cover for a student binder).
- Put everything that you
type a student’s name on into one file – I recommend Google Slides or
Powerpoint.
- Click Edit > Find and
Replace.
- Type in the previous
year’s student’s name in the FIND box, type in the new student’s name in
the REPLACE WITH box. Then, click REPLACE ALL. It will then
replace the previous year’s name with the new name through out the
document – in my case saving me from editing 6 different files.
